Pathway Directors & Course Creators

Some of the slides in the 'Slideshow' on the home page will help you understand this page.

Pathway Directors do the following:

  1. Determine which courses are to be included in a Pathway. For example, the pathway called Math could be managed by three to five Pathway Directors. These Pathway Directors determine which courses for math are included for grades 1 -14.

  2. The Pathway Directors select the individuals who are the Course Creators for each course.  Course Creators determine what competencies are taught in the course they are creating. Academy Directors help ensure that there is no unnecessary duplication of competencies in the courses in the Math Pathway, and that there are no voids where inportant content is left out.

  3. Pathway Directors determine the amount to be paid to
Course Creators and when payments are to be made.

  4. Pathway Directors will normally serve for three years.

 Course Creators do the following:

  1. Work alone or collaborate with one or more other course creators.
  2. Create the competencies for each course.
  3. Create these components for each competency:  Interest Approach, Lesson Plans / Instructional Approach, Assignments, Text pages, Test items.
